Echuca was once the largest inland river port in Victoria. It is this aspect of its past that has become the theme of Echuca's redevelopment as a tourist attraction. Paddlesteamers again travel Echuca's waters. The survival of many original buildings has enabled a meaningful renovation of Echuca's old streetscape.
