Palm Beach is one of Sydney's most sublime beachside destinations. Located 34 km north of the city centre at the tip of a peninsula, Palm Beach has moved from holiday resort to exclusive residential area. Ideally situated between the ocean, Pittwater and Broken Bay, Palm Beach is famed for the excellent beach and the delightful Palm Beach Golf Club which is located on the suburb's sandy isthmus. Palm Beach was named after the cabbage tree palms which were common in the area. Today it is a superb retreat from the city's hurly burly with excellent bed and breakfast accommodation available.
