Description of Shellharbour
|
|
Shellharbour is a charming township on the coast, south of Wollongong. The picturesque harbour, with its boat ramp, beach, foreshore area, Norfolk pines and rock baths, is but one of the fishing spots in the Shellharbour area which affords numerous beach, rock, estuary and deep-sea fishing opportunities. Windang Bridge at nearby Lake Illawarra is an especially popular spot just to the north of Shellharbour. There are some outstanding and family-friendly natural attractions in the Shellharbour area, including Bass Point Reserve, Killalea State Recreation Area and Blackbutt Forest Reserve. Seaside holiday accommodation is available at Shellharbour.
