Gerroa is a quiet holiday town at the northern end of Seven Mile Beach. It is the combination of river and flat beach, and the prospects for safe swimming, fishing, surfing, windsurfing and canoeing that has made Gerroa a popular place for family outings. The historic Kingsford Smith journey from Seven Mile Beach to New Zealand is commemorated by the Kingsford Smith memorial and lookout at Gerroa which offers panoramic views over the area.
