The twin settlements of Culburra Beach and Orient Point are adjoining resort townships on the southern side of the Shoalhaven River estuary, to the east of Nowra. With the Shoalhaven to the north, the Crookhaven to the west, the Tasman Sea to the east and Lake Wollumboola to the south Culburra Beach and Orient Point are almost completely surrounded by water. The attractions of the area are almost exclusively the beaches, the walks around the Culburra Beach headlands and the excellent fishing.
