Berrara is located 8 km south of Sussex Inlet at the mouth of Berrara Creek. Berrara offers ocean, beach and rock fishing and there is a boat ramp at the western end of the township. Just to the north of Berrara is Swan Lake where visitors can enjoy fishing, sailing and, in season, prawning. There are boat ramps at Swan Haven, on the eastern shore of Swan Lake, and at Swan Lake Water Ski Club, on the southern shore. Berrara offers some fine holiday accommodation.
