Wollombi is a very small, beautiful and historic village. The considerable charm of Wollombi arises, in part, from its interesting 19th-century sandstone buildings but also from its leisurely feel and its idyllic location within a small and pretty valley ringed around with tree-clad mountains. Today there is a coffee shop and several outlets selling arts and crafts, antiques, gifts and bric-a-brac. Occupying only a small area, Wollombi is ideal for a leisurely stroll. The Old Northern Road heads south from Wollombi past turnoffs to Yengo National Park and Koolang Observatory. Secluded luxury accommodation is available at Wollombi.
