Located 15 km south-east of Taree, Old Bar is the southern entrance to the Manning River. Boasting an excellent surfing beach, Old Bar offers fishing in the estuary and surf, and attractive picnic locations beside Old Bar Beach. The road joining Old Bar to the Pacific Highway leads past turnoffs to Saltwater and Manning Point. Beautiful Saltwater Beach, the most popular surfing destination near Taree, has a safe lagoon for toddlers.
