Located 20 km north of Nambucca Heads, at the mouth of the Bellinger and Kalang Rivers, Urunga is one of those secret places where people come to retire and where there is a charming olde world, untouched feeling. Urunga is far removed from the commercialism which has characterised so much of the New South Wales North Coast. Of interest at Urunga are the old Pilot's Cottage, the Bellinger Valley Historical Museum, the Ocean View Hotel, Water Rat Cruises, which operate along the Kalang and Bellinger Rivers, and the Honey Place.
