Description of Bilpin

Bilpin is a small town in the heart of a famous apple-growing area. Located 93 km west of Sydney on Bells Line of Road, Bilpin was originally named 'Belpin' after Archibald Bell who made a breakthrough for the colony when he crossed the mountains in 1823 along what was to become Bells Line of Road. The main attractions around Bilpin are the superb Waratah Native Garden and Mount Tomah Botanic Garden. Bilpin offers excellent resort-style accommodation.
