Gundaroo is a charming and largely untouched village in the ACT. Located on the Yass River 34 km north west of Canberra, Gundaroo is a tiny historic village. It had emerged as a small village in the 1840s and by 1848 there was a Gundaroo Post Office. Gundaroo became a stopover on the way to Queanbeyan in the 1870s. It was around this time that the Gundaroo General Store was opened for business. Today Gundaroo, with its delightful accommodation, offers an opportunity to step back in time.
