Queen Charlotte Sound is part of the larger Marlborough Sounds which are part of the complex geography of the northern section of New Zealand's South Island. The Queen Charlotte Sound is of particular importance because of the excellence of both the Queen Charlotte Drive (an attractive route around the edge of Queen Charlotte Sound) and the Queen Charlotte Walking Track which allows walkers to appreciate the full beauty of the Queen Charlotte Sound.
