Salamander Bay is part of the beautiful southern shoreline of Port Stephens. This strip of coastline, with its many fine beaches, stretches from Salamander Bay east to Shoal Bay and north out to Soldiers Point. A children's park adjoins the beach at Salamander Bay and there is a boat ramp. A marina, boat ramp and all manner of marine hire services are located east of Salamander Bay at Corlette Point and Nelson Bay. There is a shell museum at Corlette and beautiful Tomaree National Park to the south-east. Visitors will find outstanding waterfront accommodation at Salamander Bay.
